AGONY: Aftereffects Of War

War

Who Suffered ?

A mother once had a soldier son,

whose courage was second to none.

He went to war with patriotic zeal,

ready to fight for the commonweal.

But war is a brutal, savage thing,

where death and destruction often ring.

The sounds of gunfire and bombs exploding,

leave shattered lives and hearts corroding.

This mother waited and prayed each day,

for news that her son was on his way.

But fate had other plans in store,

as her worst nightmare walked through her door.

The news arrived like a thunderclap,

her son had fallen in a brutal trap.

The enemy had taken his life,

leaving her with unbearable strife.

She cried and mourned with a broken heart,

wondering why war had to tear them apart.

The senseless violence and needless pain,

seemed too high a price to pay for any gain.

War may bring victory and glory,

but at what cost, we must ask the story.

For the scars it leaves behind are deep,

and the price it exacts is often steep.

So let us remember the soldiers who fell,

and the mothers who bid them a final farewell.

And let us strive for peace and unity,

so that no more tears need be shed with impunity."

Blood Rain

War is a brutal and devastating phenomenon that has plagued humanity for centuries, this act of violence causes immense destruction, loss of life and leaves a permanent impact on the lives of individuals and societies that are affected by it. The outcomes of war are complex, multifaceted, and far-reaching, they extend beyond the battlefield and have profound social, economic, and political consequences.

 FOR WHAT

An unfortunate reality of human history are wars, they are often performed by national leaders for unreal reasons. In the pursuit of power and control nations engage in this horrific act in order to expand their territories or exert influence over other nations. This type of conflict maybe contributed from a desire for resources, or motivated by a desire to dominate a particular region for strategic or political means.

They are often driven by deeply held religious or political ideologies and belief systems that are difficult to compromise or negotiate with, and propose to  overthrow any opposing ideology. Economic interests can also be a factor in the decision to go to war, trade disputes or economic competitions can sometimes escalate into armed conflicts. In some cases, war may be seen as a means of self-defence and finally, history and cultural factors can also contribute to the reasons for war.

The reasons for war may be complex and varied but it is the Innocent Civilians WHO SUFFER,
the destruction of homes leave people homeless and vulnerable to the elements, The aftereffects of war are often long-lasting and can impact multiple generations. Children are often forced to become soldiers and used as human shields, which makes them traumatised by the violence they witness,While the psychological impact of war can result in PTSD, anxiety, and depression, the physical impact of war can result in permanent disability and chronic health conditions.

It is important to note that war is not inevitable, conflicts can be and must be resolved through diplomatic means or negotiations. Nations must work together to find peaceful solutions to their differences and avoid the devastating consequences of armed conflict whenever possible because wars bring death and destruction only.
